Office Rental Costs Forecast Down

The cost of “first class” office rentals in the region—“Central Route 128”, “Framingham/Natick”, and “Central I-495 (Boro’s)”, varied greatly in 2008 according to Garry Holmes, President of R.W. Holmes Realty (and member of the MetroWest Chamber Board of Directors). He was speaking at the June Economic Forecast Breakfast hosted by the 495/MetroWest Affiliated Chambers held at Marlborough’s Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel. “Looking ahead,” Mr. Holmes, sees rents going down, vacancy rates going up, sublease space up and lease terms down.
